Is there such a thing as destiny?
People say "You were born to be this" "You were meant to be here" "It's your destiny"... But is it really Doesn't choice factor into it? Doesn't free will? If you are destined to be something or somewhere, whatever you do in life should lead you there. But can't you change this depending on the choices you make? Can't your destiny change? So, if destiny can change, doesn't that beat the purpose of destiny itself?

Destiny is tricky. You can be destined to be something specific or do something specific and yes your choices in life could be that of the opposite spectrum but sometimes ... just sometimes I believe; that no matter what choices you make or how successful you are, Destiny can change it all. You could be a doctor because that's what you chose, 20 years later; you land up being a blacksmith because that's what you were destined to do and being a blacksmith brought you more joy and peace than being a doctor ever could.. (even though a doctors job although stressful is far more rewarding.)
ReplyDeleteI don't know.. That's my thought. Destiny cannot be determined it is only felt by utmost content which only surfaces from utmost honesty. And lets face it people do not know how to be absolutely honest with themselves let alone to the world around them!
